I'm trying to find detailed wiring diagrams for the climatronix system in my 01 VR6 Jetta. Everything I have access to via Mitchell and AllData will show me wire colours and where they go, but not what any of them do. The A/C compressor in my car does not turn on and I can not quite figure out why... mostly due to lack of information. haha.
Thanks.

Mitchell doesn't have the info as stated. I've changed the fan module out twice for unrelated reasons. Without access to the wiring diagrams I can't verify if an AC request signal is coming out of the Climatronix unit to the fan module, or if it's not coming out of the fan module to the AC Compressor. 3 or 4 wires, can't remember, go from the Climatronix unit to the fan module and I don't know what they're supposed to be for. I've been through most of the basics but am not a regular VW tech. Jumping the AC Compressor will start it and blow cool air. System pressures are good, jumping the pressure switch either direction doesn't help either.

Further there is no stored trouble codes in the climate control unit.

guessing you have reset the Climatronic Module?
Climatronic Trick - Climatronic Diagnostic Codes
The Climatronic (automatic climate control) system includes a number of sensors that you can access through the diagnostic mode. To see your true speed in digital format press the following key combinations:
1. Press Fan Down, Temperature Colder, ECON at the same time.
2. Use the temperature control buttons to cycle through the various channels to Channel 16.
3. Press ECON to go back to normal. (It goes back automatically when you restart the car).
There are a total of 45 diagnose channels numbered from 0 to 44. Some readouts represent a measured value and can't be
altered--for example the amount of light that the sunshine-sensor on the dashboard measures. Others represent the actual
adjustment and can be altered--for example the speed of the blower in 256 steps.
It's not possible to make permanent adjustments so don't be afraid to try it at your own Climatronic. (Stargazer's

I'm almost positive the fans are fine but it doesn't hurt to check. That 9 minute video could be 30 seconds I've ran the self diagnostic with the scanner before but it hasn't come up with anything. Couldn't hurt to try again though.
