When I got my MK4 jetta a few weeks ago, I could turn off the car and the radio would turn off when I opened the door. Now the radio stays on unless I take the key out of the ignition. Since then I have put in a new fuse for the 12v plug. The problem started about the time I replaces that fuse, The plug works fine and is not causing any issues. I know the door switch still works because the lights react to it. Any ideas? All of the threads I can find on the internet involve people who have aftermarket decks, or unplugged the radio in the past. I have not.
if it matters I have the single din stock deck with a 6-disc cd changer in the trunk and the car is a 99.5, I do plan on installing a JVC Deck in the car whenever I get around to buying a harness, but I would like to figure out this problem.

ahh, well we might as well take a look at the airbag light and ABS light while we're at it sometime soon.
