This month I have collected ten posts that I consider to be of greatest importance among those published. Four are part of the series on setting in fantasy fiction, one is the last article in the series on documentation in fiction. The other five articles are divided between creative writing, two, including a guest post, writing for the web, the first two of a new series, and finally a curiosity about two famous writers, Salgari and Verne. Society, politics and religion An element that perhaps escapes when writing a fantasy novel - and which I don't think is underestimated in science fiction - is creating a fictitious society and establishing a sort of government, or rather establishing the politics of that imaginary world we invented.

Science and technology In both a science fiction and fantasy novel, an author must establish a level of science and technology that man has reached. I often read about science fiction stories set a few years in the future and with very advanced technology and others set in a very distant future where men still move around in wheeled cars and smoke cigarettes.
